Rochelle will be joining Marc Schneider and Sally Dawidoff to read from her collection of essays entitled “Close Encounters  of the Anglo Kind” on Sunday, April 13, 2008 at 6 pm. at the CORNELIA STREET CAFE in Greenwich Village, New York. The event will be co-ordinated by Prof. Robin Goldfin, Faculty. Creative Writing, New York University.

TRY FREEDOM: REWRITING RIGHTS IN/THROUGH POST-COLONIAL CULTURES

Three GSP Professors–ROCHELLE ALMEIDA, MINU THAROOR AND MAHNAZ YOUSEFZADEH (currently at La Pietra, Florence Italy), will be making presentations at the EACLALS 2008 Convention in Venice, Italy, in March 2008. The paper titles are:
